L'oreal leLaque and leMattes

403 No Matte-r What (nudey brown)
411 Never Lacque-ing (mauve; mid-toned pink w/ a little bit of purple; blue-based)
408 She's So Matte (coral pink bright red) *favorite
409 Matte For Me (there are two different shades with this same label for some reason.. I got a dark red-fuschia)*

These are limited edition for fall 2013, but I wish that weren't so. I'm not a big lipstick person, as beautiful as they may be, but the lip liner shape of these makes it easy to fill in all lips, like mine with a prominent cupid's bow. Plus the formula (moreso the mattes as I only had one "laque" to try and it was terribly sticky) is spot-on. If anybody knows how to do a long-lasting lip, it's L'oreal. The colors stay put, don't feather nor rub onto teeth. You can lick your lips and not affect the look.

Notes I made while wearing these out: The leMattes are matte, but with something like Baby Lips or Chapstick underneath, it gives a more satin matte appearance. It feels better this way, and the added slip does not affect the opacity of the colors. Gloss on top doesn't either. These do stain. But to my surprise, the brightest, not the darkest, shade stained the most (408). e.g. After I took off 409, my lips were cherry red like when you eat a red popsicle.

Verdict: I would love if L'oreal came out with a ton of other shades of these. The ones they have now, 1 "nude", 2 "pinks" and multiple reds, seems like they're testing the waters a little bit. Or just trying to one-up Revlon in the matte/shiny lip game, no idea who came out first. I normally don't get things blindly to try them, but I did here out of limited edition-ness. At least try to get shades you might like. I would rather have four 408s than what I have now but hey, whaddya gonna do?
